*  2017 data not mandatory but requested from MS wherever possible in order to estimate economic projections for 2017. These data, if provided, will be flagged as preliminary in the 2018 Annual Fleet Economic Report and corresponding data tables.
**  Maximum Sea Days, Hours at sea, GT hours at sea, kW hours at sea - requested on a voluntary basis
***  AR support fields - optional fields

AR support fields = In addition to the data to be used in the preparation of the Annual Economic Report on the EU fishing fleet, and in line with what has been proposed by the STEC Expert Working Group EWG 14-17 and subsequently endorsed by the STECF Plenary , this data call requests four additional variables: Frame Population and Survey Name in the Capacity Template, and Response Rate and Data Source for all other variables estimated at the fleet segment level. The provision of these data is non-mandatory and only MS that wish to participate in the exercise of using data from the data calls to support the preparation of their Annual Reports on the implementation of the 2015 National programme are requested to provide this information. MS that decide to adhere to this exercise will be able to download the datasets prepared by the JRC to support the filling in of Standard tables III.B.1, III.B.2 and III.B.3.
